Pune has two economies that don't follow the same documentation patterns: the IT corridor (Hinjewadi, Kharadi, Magarpatta) and the auto-manufacturing belt (Pimpri-Chinchwad, extending towards Chakan). The latter documentation issues range from "who was my official employer" to "was I actually employed by X corporation or Y staffing agency?".
If You Work in Pune's IT Corridor
For IT/ITES jobs, the pattern is largely standard - BGV requests for relieving letters, salary verification, Form 16, possibly complicated by relocation if you moved to Pune for the job. This side of Pune's documentation needs is broadly similar to what we handle in any other technology hub, and the full process for it is on our Career Documentation Services page.
If You Work in Pune's Manufacturing and Auto Sector
This is where Pune's documentation needs diverge significantly: a significant chunk of manufacturing and auto-sector employment within the city is sourced through staffing or manpower agencies, and you may be employed at a manufacturing plant on a daily basis, but your papers bear the name of the staffing agency, and not the name of the manufacturing company which you physically work at for eight hours a day.
This distinction between your "principal employer" (the manufacturing company) and the staffing or manpower agency that employs you on a contractual and documentarian level is recognized in Indian labor law, and causes confusion for both BGV vendors and incoming employers at the time of documentation. It's a valid documentation need, and the specific ability to distinguish between and collect documents from both entities (the staffing agency, and where possible, verifying proof of your work relationship with the manufacturing company) is the unique skill required in such a scenario, one that isn't necessary for a single employer.
If You're a Student or Recent Graduate
Pune's student and recent-graduate population, attracted to the city by its heavy concentration of engineering and technical colleges, means that there's a pattern of internships and apprenticeships that bear the hallmarks of valuable work experience, but have traditionally been inadequately documented for the purpose of formal BGV or employment verification. If you have undertaken meaningful project or internship work that a new employer would want verification for, we can help you document that experience, even in the absence of a traditional offer-letter or relieving-letter process.

Quick Questions From Pune Professionals
It's a common and perfectly legitimate practice, but one that needs to be acknowledged and explained clearly to a BGV vendor or new employer.
This is a frequent request from Pune's student and recent-graduate population, and it's always possible to document meaningful project or internship experience, even in the absence of a traditional employment verification process.
The basic documentation principles are the same, but manufacturing and contract-employment cases usually require an additional step of distinguishing the employer relationship, which isn't pertinent to a standard IT BGV case.
